Oh jeez - good luck with all of that! Sounds like you are doing the best you can! If only there was an anti-teen syrum somewhere!!!

You can always tell him you are sending him to my house in Boston and force him to be a Red Sox fan!!!! ;-)

yeah, hard labour. My parents had some great ideas... they do get under your skin, which is what teenagers want so I hear (and remember) My sister has boys your older sons age. You just have to find out what will get under HIS skin and turn the tables. I looked at your profile - he likes to text? Who pays for that? Does he have a job? Can you control that?

I know you don't know me from Adam - but we Moms have to stick together!!

When my brother was his age - he got into trouble, my father made him dig a dry-well (a 4 foot deep, 3 foot wide trench) around the perimeter of the house during the summer. Kept him out of trouble for a few weeks!

I think so many of us want to be friends with our kids, don't want to be the bad guy (especially those of us who have divorced and remarried) But sometimes, you have to be the parent. I know it sucks. I'd rather play with my kids!!!

it just drives me crazy hes old enough to know better and he is grounded at this time for acting out which is pretty much a new thing with me and his step dad working all the time and him having all the free time to himself he found himself some trouble, but I am shaking because he gets me sooooo angry and he gets me and knows it and just laughs i want to knock his head off his shoulders

Good for you! HA.

The truth is - kids fight - but my Mom used to tell us - if you're busy - you don't have time to fight... so hard labor it was!
