Dana, I am a mother of 3 and have been divorced for 5 years...after giving birth to my last child whos father is was no longer in the picture, I decided the only thing left to do for me was to turn to god. I have never been a religious person, I do not even have a denomination, never went to church, but when so much goes wrong and you know giving up is not an option that is the only thing left. So I asked god to save me, I promised to do as much good as possible. Trust me my road has not been smooth, but I think god knows how much I try and that I truly want to do the best thing, my life has changed in so many ways over this last year that I cant even begin to describe it... there is no other explanation other than, god helps those that truly want to be good in his eyes.... if you ever need to talk about anything just e-mail me... It never hurts to have an extra e-mail is

Good luck

Once you give your heart over to the Lord, you become a work in progress.. You never stop learning how to do what He wants you to do. It is a life of trial and error as we grow spiritually. Many fall-downs, as we fail to do or say the loving/right thing. However, our God is bigger than our mistakes and He sees the desire of our heart is for Him, so we can lift our heads up again and start over.

I find that by reading a lot of sound Christian books, as well as the Bible, of course, I learn such a lot about God and His passion for us. Even at 54 and having been a Christian most of my life, I am still learning and growing.

Be real with your children and don't be afraid to apologise when you have lost your cool. They will see that Jesus is real to you and be far more forgiving of your failures than you expect them to be.

I hope this helps you a little.
