it's very important to teach the kids at young age how to be helpefull.i know that's hard but it's very affective.that's what i did with my girls.a chart bord is helpfull with a "reward bin'' beside it.if they clean up their room ,or help in the kichen, take the garbage out,any thing..they get to pick a paper from the reward bin on wich a small gift's place is pointed on.or a big kiss drawn .and the most important thing is to let them know that if they don't do their PART OF THE WORK momie is'nt gonna do it

I Like Kimberly's reply thats a good idea a different job in a different room each week. They wont get bored with the same old boring chore.

Could also do a reward system if they do their set chore everyday for that week the get something special. Doesn't have to be big, perhaps their choice of what to have for dinner or what DVD you hire or something like that.

Good luck it is hard to get boys to do anything. I have trouble just getting my son to put his things in his room. School bag, shoes etc

I also have 3 boys along with my husband, so as u can see i am the only girl..it is usually very hard to get them to help. All 3 of my boys have a set chore that we switch every week, so they can see how hard it is for every room and every one in the house if they don't help out day by day.. Just be strong, give them a set chore and stick to your guns, if they don't do it they don't go anywhere or do anything, it doesnt always work but at 2 - 3 it gets done, so it does help, oh ya and also I taught them how to do laundry, I refuse to do anyone eles laundry, so if they all don't do their own, they won't have clean clothes.....
