I am looking for advice about weaning my daughter.

My daughter is 8 months old and I need to wean her completely by the time she is 9 months old. I have had absolutely no luck giving her any sort of bottle and it is becoming a huge problem ,in fact, it is the only problem I have ever had with her. Any advice would really help. Thank you

I weaned both my boys at 13mo and 14mo (they are now 4+ and 19mo). I started them with bottles and boobs in the process of weaning them. They absolutely prefer the boob anytime especially night feed (easy for me too) but was lucky weaning them off the boobs quite quick. One little trick my friend had was to rub alittle bit of lemon/lime juice on the nipple ;) and have a bottle ready for them at the same time. It works like magic for her. Good luck with your little one.

I just weaned my daughter and it was easier then I thought. She did not like it at first but I just kept trying to her a bottle every time I fed her, I started with breast milk in the bottle. Then eventually once she liked that I put half breast half formula, then all formula. It took about a week to get her to like it and then about another week to change all feedings. I still breastfed once a day for about two weeks so I wouldn't get engourged. Don't give up and don't feel bad about it, you're doing what's best for you.

Are you having health issues or are you just ready to be done/ If it is the lattr I would suggest you go slowly for both your sake and the baby's. One thing I wanted to say is that my kids would not take a bottle (of anything) from me but they took one no problem for others.

Why must you wean her by the time she's 9 mos?  Is this a work problem (no place to pump or time to) or is this a matter of you don't want to pump?
