another thing is tiring her out! don't let her just sit on the couch & watch tv. take her for a walk before dinner. it also gives you both time to bond with each other.

I agree with Denise. Just put her down, and stick to it. It will be hard at first, especially listening to them cry. What I did is put my daughter down, let her cry it out. If she cried for more 10 minutes and she wasn't asleep, I'd go in to her room, rock her, sing to her, calm her down, and then lay her down again. Sometimes she'd keep crying, other times she'd fall asleep. And some nights I wouldn't have to console her at all. After about 2 weeks, I had her bed time from 10:30 to 8:30. And now she goes to sleep between 8:00 and 8:30, which is perfect for me. It's all about making a routine and sticking to it.

Good luck!

Waker her up early in the morning, limit her naps during the day, try give her some fruit or cereal for dinner and put her up at 8pm, it will take you a couple weeks to her her used to it and she might cry here and there but you HAVE to stick to it. I made this mistake with my first and my second two I have never had issues, bc when school time comes around they r not going to want to go to bed!!
