just keep mashing it. my 13 month old has days like that, where he will not put anything in his mouth but a spoonful of mush. If he is eating the mashed food, go with it- at least he IS eating!

Have you mentioned it to your GP?

My 3 year old was like that for a while, but he came around in the end.. I started just mashing it well with a fork, then mashing it a little less well every day. I'm still mashing now, but he will eat the lumps. Good luck!

Don't panic, I have 3 girls & they all ate at different rates. My last one only started to eat certain solids at 16 months, which was far later than the other two. Maybe try start with letting him do independent solid food eating. For example take one of those puffy cheese crisps that melt easily in the mouth (and unfortunately messy in the hand too), let him hold it and attempt to suck or eat on it himself. Once he gets used to the different texture of that then maybe go onto something else, a process. I find they tend to go for solids more easily when they do so for themselves instead of having us feed them, especially at this age where they start showing some independence. Try a very softly boiled potatoe, not yet a mash level, but soft enough to mash as soon as it is in the mouth. Let me know how it goes
