I weaned my 2 kids off the breast when my nipples were cracked and sore. I used nipple shields and kept feeding kids for a few weeks that way which got them used to sucking through different texture so when replaced breast milk with SMA formula both took to it without any worries. Hope this helps. Good luck.

When my daughter was 7 months old i just stopped producing milk. The nuk bottle was a huge plus. shaped like the breast she took right to it. know she is on the sippy and she picked out her own cups, that helped too.

Try pumping and then mixing that with formula. I had to wean my daughter at 4 months cuz i just could not produce enough to make her happy. I started my daughter with 4oz breastmilk, 2oz formula until eventually the breastmilk was no longer in the formula. She adjusted very well.

Try to keep going another 4 months. Formula costs an arm and a leg, and it stinks to be away from your baby for long hours to pay for a poor substitute

Why wean? i BF my son until he was 13mths old with no bottles and straight onto cows milk in a cup.

Keep giving night feeds and maybe when s/he first gets up but use a cup with a lid during the day and slowly increase the solids with snacks etc. I hope this helps.
