I think that my baby sitter is not putting my son down for a morning nap. He still takes two naps a day when he is home all day. How should I approach this?

Hmmm, I don't know. I never thought about that. I agree that she can't be waking the other babies up, maybe she will just get used to the daycare environment and start sleeping better. They are amazing at adjusting their routines based on the situation.

Speaking of naps and other people:

Anyone have any issues with their baby (mine is 8 months) sleeping well at day care? They have to put them down asleep (I would prefer to put her down awake and have her get herself to sleep) and then when she wakes up prematurely, they can't let her get herself back to sleep again cause she might wake the other babies.

As a result, she naps at most 45 minutes. It's awful.

Anyone else dealing with this or have any thoughts as to how it can be fixed? Or is this just how things are in day care?

Well, I guess that depends- would you rather he be on a different schedule when he is with her or have her force him to take a morning nap? If it hasn't disrupted his routine when he is with you I wouldn't worry about it. Now that I think about it my oldest daughter took one nap at her sitter's and two at home from about 18  mos to two years old.

She says that he doesn't want to take a nap in the morning but he is so crabby when he is with me. I know he probably sleeps better here, because he is an only child, but he still naps in the morning when we are away from home.

Just ask for a detailed version of his day. If he only had the late nap ask why. Some babies don't sleep well for others and wait until they are totally exhausted to pass out.
