being a working mom is so hard!! My mother takes care of my baby while i work and i feel as if i am losing control of what she eats, she is also acquiring habits that are a result of grandma's spoiling! Anyone else feels the same? :( I would love to win the lotto lol

I feel your pain, girl.

My kid is also by my mom. And I feel as if my mom spends more time with him then I do.... I feel so guilty when picking him up and she tells me that he did something new today (and I was not there to see it first)!!!!

I know how you feel! My mother-in-law took care of my little girl after I returned to work (I moved to Australia and my mom is back in the States), and it drove me crazy. I ended up putting her into daycare after a while to save my sanity. Now Grandma watches her 2 days a week and she's in daycare 3 days a week - but I still wish I could afford to be at home with her, especially as she's getting closer to school-age. I feel like I've missed so much.

Dealing with the habits they pick up along the way is difficult no matter if they're being looked after by a family member or at daycare. My three year old now draws on herself with any marker or pen that she can find - because Grandma used to draw faces on her hands when she was a baby.

If there's any advice I can give, it's to try to make the most of your days off. Even if its just staying at home and playing with a messy (but really fun) toy or activity - my little girl loves when we play with play-doh or do painting together. Anything that will keep her head filled with memories of good times with Mommy. :)
