I have a 1 year old son who is also picky but only at daycare. At home he eats what we offer or does without - when he gets hungry he eats. At daycare, they don't practice this - any suggestions?

I think this is a hard thing to figure out. I myself was very picky growing up and everyone always made me eat what they cooked and now as a adult i am picker then before. I dont eat any fruits of veggies. there is some healthy stuff out there that tastes good and when she is hungry she will eat it.

Your little one will eat when she is hungry! I know it is frustrating and nerve wracking when they don't eat, but she wont starve. As far as being picky only offer healthy choices and not the other stuff, she will eat eventually. In our home our kids (2 1/2, and 15months help us cook, and "I am not a "short-order cook" so they get what is put in front of them to eat, end of story." Make sure she is getting plenty of fluids too.

She will eat when she is good and hungry, you can not force her to eat. She may miss a few meals but when she gets hungry enough she will eat. She will not starve herself.

She will eat when shes hungry I always waited  till my son was a little hungrier like waiting till after 30 mins of him showing signs of hunger. You have to show her who is boss now or it will only get worse. Its a battle to get my son to eat now but I want him to be healthy his dad and I were both over weight. I dont force him to eat when hes no hungry. I dont want to end up on oprah trying to explain to people how my kid got over weight. try giving her carrots they are sweet and peas and shes old enough to start eating our own food.
