Hi Tasha,

My daughter is 19 months old and we were having a hard time getting the pacifier away from her at all! We decided that it was time to change things but weren't a fan of going cold turkey and just throwing out all the "nummies". So I went out to the store and bought my daughter a really colorful, small basket and we put a small towel in the bottom of it. We called that "nummy's bed". For the time being, our daughter only gets her nummy at bedtime. Whenever she wakes up from bed, it's a ritual that she takes her nummy and puts it in "nummy's bed" so it can have a rest. And then we leave the basket on a shelf in her room. After the very first day, our daughter caught on and never cried for her nummy. She sometimes asks for it but we just tell her that nummy is in his bed for a rest, and she stops asking for it. It's been working well for us so maybe you should give something like that a try. Let me know how it works! Good luck.
