I have heard many stories from family and friends about little ones who didn't walk well and needed to have their ears looked at. A fluid build up in the inner ear was the causing their children to not walking well... no balance due!! One child was not only walking but running the day after his tubes were put in. Maybe this is the reason you little one isn't walking well??  Best wishes!! jess

By 11 months only 25% of infants are walking. By 15 months 75% percent are walking. But every child is different and will do it when they are ready

My daughter started walking at 16.5 months and once she started walking she always walked. My daughter never has walked on her hand and feet though she went from crawling to walking and didnt look back. Children under 2 shouldnt be expected to walk long distances though they tire out too easily. I was told by my health nurse that children are walkking later these days but if he is not walking properly by 2 i would get it checked out even if you just go ask your local gp just to be on the safe side.

Amira: If your son is older than 15-18 months of age, consult with your family doctor ASAP. I disagree with the two previous replies, a child not walking upright regularly before their second birthday is something that needs attention. Don't be afraid, the sooner you address it the easier it will be for him and for you....

My daughter was lazy until 2 yrs and we held an ice cream cone infront of her after giving her a few licks... now she's 8 and no physical delays.  As long as there's no signs of disability I wouldn't be worried, I got my son to walk with a stringed puppet that he loved and he got up to chase the puppet... he's 13 now and still have the puppet as a memory... ah, "Chico!"

Hi it depends on how old he is. some don`t walk until approx 2 yrs. if he is not moving and around 18 months i would advise to see your health visitor.
