"Nanny Cam" Suggestions?

Hi moms, I am hoping you can help me out...

My 5 month old son has been in daycare for 2 weeks and I have realized that I would feel more comfortable if he were at home, with someone to give him more 1 on 1 attention. I know that there are pros and cons to everything, but feel that in this case, this will be better for my baby (and will have me worrying less). That said, although the nanny comes highly recommended I would like to purchase some type of "nanny cam" to see how she is handling things especially in the beginning. I cannot afford to spend a ton of money and am confused by all the options on the internet. I was wondering if you had any suggestions on specific models that weren't too expensive? How did you hide them? Or is it better to be up front and let them know that you are watching them?? Thanks in advance for your help!!

They are so expensive... I looked into it a few years ago because I had this same idea before putting our kids into daycare, and a friend of mine put it into perspective... bluntly: "How would you feel if your employer watched you every minute of every day?" she said. Ouch. "Do what you want in your own house," she told me, "but why bother if you don't trust the nanny?" Double ouch!!

We chose daycare, partly for the accountability. There is always someone watching.
