My son just turned 1 and I still have NO motivation! None! I can't get myself motivated to get anything done, from housework, to weight loss, to my finances. Everything is suffering. I was lucky enough to be able to lose all but 10 lbs. of baby weight by my 6 week check up, but since then, because of my lack of motivation I have gained it all (+ some) back. I work full time, and feel like I've always got something going on on my days off. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Sara, I often feel like that, i work 3 days and have a 2yr old and 10 month old. However I find that if I go out with them to a park or outing in the morning, they are much happier and may even sleep a little longer from the sun and fresh air. I also go to playgroups once a week and I come back home refreshed and energised and the kids will have a good sleep. I get more done if I have been out for the morning that what I would do if I was home, and the kids are much happier as well. Sometimes I just keep telling myself to 'Just Do It'. And try to think of things that will take 5 - 10 minutes - which is most housework (in my house anyway :-), except the ironing!! ) Working full time and running a household is tough in anyone's book, you should congrulate yourself on the things that you do achieve :-) Take Care. Sharon.

Thank you for your suggestions! I have started on my days off taking at least the first hr. of the day once we're ready for the day, taking a walk, or going to the zoo, or something outside, and that has helped! I also moved the computer into my son's room so I can't waste his nap time dorking around online. I also made a list of all the things that need to get done throughout the week, and broke them down into daily schedules according to what I'm working, so it doesn't seem so overwelming to get things done! Thanks again for the help!

TAke time for yourself, you will always feel this way unless you tell somebody no, get a babysitter or a jogging stroller and take some YOU time. Eat healthy and that will help make sure your getting pleanty of sleep.
