I have never even heard of a coil??? I am using an IUC, the new IUD.  I have heard that it may take up to a year or so to have my body back to normal after I have the IUC removed, I agree with the rest of the replies, discussing this with your doctor is probably the best that you can do at this point. I am sure that it will be fine, Your doctor will know in any case how you can best proceed.

I had the coil about 10 years ago and when I conceived after removing it, I had a tubal pregnancy.  Quite devastating but then a year  later was pregnant again and it went perfect.  I too would suggest talking to your doctor and take all precautions that you can.

I haven't experienced this a I take the pill and am not ready to get off of it. However, I have heard that there are instances when it takes longer to concieve for the next child. Talk to you doctor and express your concerns and they can probably give you better advice.
