Separation Anxiety

My daughter is 10 months old and she has started being very "close" with me! She doesnt want to leave my side and cries when I leave for work. I know that most children go through this but it doesnt make it any easier.

How do I help her cope with her Mommy going for work?

ps) I have tried the following:
* Distracting her
*Giving her a special to hold while Mommys gone

Upon coming home, spend extra time with her. Make it a routine, so she learns that mommy will reward her after. The special toy is awesome!

Aside from that, it's just not easy, and not much more you can do. I just wish that mom's didn't have to work to make ends meet.

Yes a very special toy for JUST when you leave is a good idea.. my son would cry when I left and the sitter told me he always stopped when he couldn't see me anymore.. it is a normal thing that happens.. they want their mommies!! Nothing wrong with that.. Just always say to her, Mommy is coming back.Mommy will be back.. there is the separation anxiety stage and it can last a couple months to longer.. who do you leave her with and can they play some special game or toy while you are leaving?/
