My son is 7 months onl on Moday and has been drinking out of a cup since 5 months. We use the Muchkin brand ones witht the silicon nipple but now for some reason it is coming out to fast and he spils it all down him or spits it out while getting more. it doesnt bother him becasue he sitll is drinking it but it is messy and a waste of formula! any suggestions?!!! he doesnt like the cups with the harder nipples so i dont know what to do! i dont know if hes making the whole bigger or what! i know he likes to chew on it though - he has no teeth yet though! Thanks for any advice given!

Maybe if he is teething, you could freeze some bigger size vegetables or slices of fruit for him to gnaw on. It will sooth the pain from teething with the cold, and also get him used to the tastes of different fruits and vegetables. Just be careful to not let him eat any of it.

I'm not all up on sippy cups, but I think there are some that have replacement nipples. The other thing could be that he could be teething and the chewing action is making the formula come out. He may not even be hungry, just like the feeling on his gums. Try giving him the cup with nothing in it or just a little water in between feedings to see if that is what he is doing.
