My husband works nights, and my kids 2 and 4 insist they sleep in my bed! My youngest was great is his own bed until we moved him to a toddler bed! How do I get them to sleep in their own bed??

I am also trying hard to let my 1 yr old sleep in his crib. He gets up the moment he realises that he is alone. I hope this ends soon. So you are not alone!!

My 6 yr old started having nightmares and began to sleep on our bed. After months of this, we decided enough was enough. He now has a sleeping bag and pillow on the floor next to the bed. He has to start out sleeping in his own bed. When he get's scared, he can come into our room to his sleeping bag and have the comfort of being "with" mommy and daddy. He goes through times where he is there every morning asleep on the floor, and then backs himself off to once or twice a month. He is just comforted by the thought that there is a place for him when he needs it.

I had and sometime still have that problem with my twin 6 year old boys. My aunt gave me the advise of just enjoy it now, because by the time they are 9 or so, they wont want to sleep with you and then you'll miss them. The time they spend in bed with me now is so much less then even a year ago, that I sometimes miss them.

Again not much help... but something to think about.

Our rule of thumb was to let them sleep in the crib until we caught them climbing out of it...then we'd let down the side for safety. I understand SuperNanny has a method that works well if you can stick to it...

Not much help... sorry.
