I cannot get my three year old to sleep in her own bed! She has been sleeping with us for at least 2 months now. She freaks out and cries so hard that she starts to throw up. I'm up to trying anything but I want my bed and my husband back! And yet a part of me just feels guilty because I usually get home pretty late and then have anywhere from 2 hours to no time at all with her. It doesn't feel right to deny her cuddle time with mom. Any help?

Have you tried moving her to own bed once she's asleep, that seemed to work with my 30mth son, difficult sometimes cos I fell asleep before him tho!

Also make her own bed fun, I let my son take his favourite toy and a book to bed and he also has a little torch he can switch on if he wakes cos he says he's scared of the dark. Some nights he takes so much stuff theres no room left for him! He feels more in control though

Hope this helps

Hi my daughter is now 8 but use to sleep with us because cried till threw up i actually went to stay with my sister and when she cried and threw up she just got her up changed her and put her back in the cot after a few nights she never did it again and slept happily in own bed. Its hard but you have to be cruel to be kind or youll never get your bed back.

We have had Miss 3 in our bed on and off since she was 9 months old. Miss 3 happily goes to sleep in her bed but wakes in the middle of the night. We figure as long as we all sleep (my husband works too) then its a good night. She wont be in your bed when shes 12 - enjoy the snuggles!!
