My 8 year old son is a very picky eater. I need some suggestions for his school lunch, which I pack everyday, other than peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Maybe I am not very creative? Need help! He likes chicken nuggets, pizza, cheese, chicken slices, cheese hot dogs, etc...I have basically packed most of these things, but he is growing bored of them. I am feeling a little helpless. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!

I had the same problem with my children 11 and 8. They now pack their own lunch. I have found my kids pack things I didn't think they would eat. My daughter doesn't like it on Monday but it is her favorite food on Friday. As I am getting ready for work they pack their lunch. They do know I will inspect to make sure it meets healthy standards(not all sweets). But it worked!!

My 7 year old sounds exactly the same! All the sudden he has been excited about the pizza or chicken lunchables. I know they are not the healthiest but sometimes I am so desparate to get him any lunch at all. All he wants his junk. I know he will eat a fruit cocktail cup. Just last week he decided he likes cheeseburgers with ketchup so I don't have to pack a lunch on burger day now. yea! Some days I will just pack a bunch of little things like cheese sticks, crackers, fruit cup, pretzels, 100 calorie packs for dessert. He also will drink V8 fusion drinks (I was surprised about that). I hope lots of moms will post ideas because I am all ears! I wish I could be more help. I might try a hard bolied egg soon. I think he might try it since I remember he ate his Easter eggs. What I wouldn't give for him to eat some kind of veggie! Good luck !
