I found a good routine will do wonders. My routine for getting close to bedtime is: 1800 family dinner, Luke 7mths has his dinner with us, after dinner my older son, Rian (2.5yrs) and Luke play together, 1900 bath-time, after bath Luke gets put into is sleeping bag and has some quiet time with daddy looking at books whilst I sort Rian out and get him to bed then Luke goes upstairs where he has his last bottle of the night in his dim lit bedroom. Both boys go to bed at 1930 and they are usually up around 0600-0630. I've stuck to this routine since Luke was around 4 weeks and he started sleeping through from about 4 months. Be safe in the knowledge that it can only get better!! I hope this has helped you a little. Good Luck!!

At 6 mnths a baby isn't supposed to sleep through the night....they need to be feed every couple of hours...I know its exhausting but just know she will sleep through the night eventually. Try asking for help if you need sleep badly...have a family memeber take the baby or get up with her so you can get a few hours ..that always helps. DO NOT put cereal in a bottle...this is a does not work ..and if it did for someone it wasn't for why they thought...If we went along with all old wives tales people would still be putting whisky on babies gums for teething! If by a year old shes still not sleeping through the night then you can look into alternatives. Stay wont always be this way!
