I have an underlying placenta right now. I am about 22 weeks and i am very scared that my child will have complications durring the rest of my pregnancy! i just have a few questions for anyone to help me with!

What is the chance the placenta wil move?

Will the baby most likly be ok?

what can i do to help the situation?

what if the placenta seperates from the baby before i am due?

if i go into labor (vaginal) and need an emergency c-section from the placenta blocking the cervix is there a good chance he baby will make it?!?!

i know its a lot of questions and to ask my doctor, but havnt gotton a call back from her today and i am worried and would like some answers tonight, so i can sleep!! its scary to wonder if your child is goign to make it!!!\

thank you !!!

I had the same thing when I was pregnant and it 'migrated' to the right position on it's own. I am by no stretch an expert on the subject, but what my OBGYN had explained was that it really isn't a big deal unless no one knows about it. As long as they are monitoring the situation, if it doesn't move on it's own, they'll just schedule a C section and there is no more risk than any other C-section. Obviously you want to ask your doctor but... hope this helps you sleep until then.

I had placental previa in the beginning of my pregnancy which corrected itself about half way through. With some women it does not correct itself and you have to get a C-Section when it is time for the baby to come. You will be considered a high risk pregnancy, but it tends to be a common enough problem now that there usually isn't any complications for you or the baby. You should be fine and so will the little one. Take Care.

Hey there, I had that problem with both of my pregnancies and all went great. Try to program a c-sect. that is what I did as the Doc. advised me that if I had a natural birth I could be risking both my and baby's live:)
