Weaning baby onto bottle....Help!!

Hi everyone, I have a beautiful baby girl called Chelsea who is 5 months old. As happy as I am that she is a fantastic feeder on the breast I am due back to work in about 6 weeks time so I need to start weaning her onto the bottle (at least for her daytime feeds). Only problem is she HATES the bottle. She will screech at me and wont suck on it at all. I gave her a bottle to play with in hopes she would take more interest in it & this morning my husband tried giving her the bottle first thing so she was really hungry but all she would do was chew on it....no sucking at all. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I can try? I also have a 2 year old son who had to be weaned at 4 months old and he took to the bottle straight away so this is all new to me.

Try putting expressed breast milk in the bottle and use a faster flowing teat that matchings your milk flow. I weaned my son for the same reason, it took a while but keep goin with it. Try when they are happiest not screaming. also perhaps try offering one half on breast then the other half with a bottle (daddy doin bottle) while u express. Start on weekend (or whenever ur both together for a couple of days)

Tommee Tippee do a great natural range the nipple of the bottle is designed to mimic the breast and is great if you are weening or if you still want to breast feed and bottle feed.

My daughter took t it quite easy they range from approx $20 for a twin pack from your local supermarket. Give it a go all my girlfriends use them they are great!
