What activities can I involve my daughter in during the summer, to keep her physically active?

My daughter is a 4 year old, who needs to be constantly stimulated. By that I mean, that when she gets bored she starts getting into trouble, and needless to say she has a strong family history of diabetes, so I really want to teach her to remain physically active from an early age. The truth is that I'm a hard working mom with two jobs and very little money to afford a summer camp. Please help with suggestions?

Thanks everyone! Right now we are striving for one hour of physical activity a day, and hopefully will increase that without even noticing. Her and her father take walks in the afternoons with our dog and when I get home from work, I make sure that whenever possible we go out and play together. So far, that's what we're doing. Thanks again everyone!

Organize play dates with other moms and kids. You can rotate based on your schedule when they come over to your house or you drop her off at theirs. You would be surprised at how many moms are looking for this sort of thing. Parks are the best and free way and also tricycle or bicycle or scooter. You can go to the dollar store and get hoola hoops, balls, chalk, and other inexpensive items.

Swimming, cycling, playing soccer are all pretty easy to organise without money if you find a lake, bike and a ball. :) Can she go outside on her own already?

Where does she stay while you are at work? if she stays with friends or family ask them to take her to a local park..they are free..if one is close by. Swimming is great excercise and would be really beneficial in keeping her acrive without worrying about her getting too hot. Do not know where you live so don't know if you have access to swimming pool or not. There is also the old sprinkler & hose. As a child during summer whe would run thru sprinkler or do the slip & slide thing. You can make your onw my using long piece of plastic & dish soap. There are lots of ways to keep child active just depends on who is keeping her and what they are willing to do to help you.
