I work for a small catering company and going in to this company my boss told me I needed to have a fire in my belly about somthing to give to the company. So this is my fire but want to know what other moms think. I want to give the choice to all familys to have a home made lunch made by us for your kids. I have heard so many moms myself included complain about school hot lunchs what they make how much it cost but they dont have time to make a cold lunch ither. So if I find a way to make a healthy lunch at the same price or less then the school and its food the kids and the parent agree on would you use this service? Thank you for your input

I have been thinking and the small town I live in you can now pay on the net for hot lunch. What if you started in your home school with people you know start a web sight and they can order there kids lunch that are close to the same price as the schools. They go on line look at the menu order and it gets droped off to your kids at school. Thank you all very much for responding

The only thing you may run into is all the "rules" that the schools have to go by. Maybe a headache till you learn them all but sounds great. The kids need more of a choice and the schools just do not have the means to do it.

I think that sounds like a great idea. I live in Scotland and the hot meals are great and cheap but if hot lunches are a problem in your area then go for it. I would suggest doing a short business case, costing the ingredients, packaging and distribution. Also work out the logistics of it. I would also suggest some local market research - maybe go to a local school at "pick-up" time with a questionnaire on price, whether they would pre-book meals for a whole week etc.

Good luck with your idea
