I work full time and the father doesn't. So my son only knows that mommy moved away and he comes to visit her every few days. I feel left out of my child's growing years. He has gotten so close to his dad now. I feel left out.

i know this might sound bad but see if you can get more time with him.
if the father is not working and seeing him during the week maybe you could get an extra saturday now and then.

its probably asking too much though...

if not then just make sure he has an AWESOME time when he is with you.

my parents are seperated and i used to keep a photo of me and mum when i went to dad's and vice versa. that way they were BOTH always with me.

that sounds rough, but you keep your head high. i'm assuming that you are working to survive. if thats the case the only thing you can do is keep working to make your money and live. When your off work you spend every moment you can with your child. I know its hard but don't get down on your self. If you keep on the right path God will bless you and you will get to that point where you get all the time with your son that you want.

Thank you so much for writing me. Yes it is so hard but I am hoping in time, I will be able to communicate more with my son as he progresses and then he'll really know that mommy is always their even if I am not physically.

Oh I'm sorry to hear that. Don't feel left out after all you did give birth to your son :) As a boy he may be at the stage where he is just naturally more attached to his Dad. In my opinion you should just make sure to show him lots of love and attention when you do have time with him. Being from a seperated family myself I know that it is not easy...Good luck! :)

Do you work out of town? How come you don't live with your child? Boy I would feel left out too :(
