I'm a single mommy and I work 2 jobs, 7 days a week. I do this all for my lil girl, but I feel as though I may actually be taking from her in the long run. I'm in need of some opinions, does anybody think this could effect her negativly by having her only parent ( father died before she was born) be away working so much, everything i do is for this girl of course and I want to make sure I'm doing nothing to effect any part of her life negativly, any advice or ideas? she also goe to her fathers parent about every other weekend to keep them close, they live 2 hours away so it's usually for the weekend and mommy can't be there cause I'm working....I feel like I don't get enough time with her and she doesn't get enough mommy time, but I have to work and I have to keep her close with her family and the people she loves.....oh what to do....??

Chelsea, Never give up and think positive! I am also a single mom of two boys, 8 & 3, working two jobs, going to school, and living that life you described! I have recently found that kids know and feel loved when they have your TIME. This does not mean you are going to affect her life negativly in any way. I know that while at work that is where your focus should be, however I make it a priority to call my boys in the mornings and tell them I love them and wish them a good day at school, and such. When your daughter is away on the weekends, call and tell her you love her, and stay positive... "enjoy your time with grandma & grandpa" "can you draw mommy a picture of what you did today/ saw today?" Then hang it on the fridge. Small actions Speak BIG for our little ones. Even though times are tough right now and we almost have to work two jobs to "make ends meet", we can still show we love, adore, and are there for our most precious gift(s). =) I hope this has helped in some small way! If you want to talk... I would love to! 435-862-7170! =)

I felt the same way I have my childrens father here but I was always working because he hurt his back three and a half years ago and has not been able to work since. So I had to pick up the slack. Well I had enough of that and found a job that I can do from home ( not one of those get rich schemes) and it is working great for me. I would love to share it with you and if you really work for it you can eventaully quit those tow jobs you need to survive. You can call me any time 815-258-0346 or email me Kristy
