I'm thinking about the P90X series.

I am overweight from having my son 3 months ago and really want to get this weight off. I feel like I have tried everything out there but so far nothing. Just wondering if anyone has tried this program P90X and if it has done any good for them. I see that it targets men mostly and wondered if it was to intense for women. OR are there any other workouts out there that you ladies have tried that have worked out.

LOVED the p90X program... I just finished the first 90 days.. HUGE results.. much leaner and noticable within 30 days for sure.. and at 90 days I felt so much more lean, flexible, etc. I was lazy the month after I finished and didnt workout at all.. and since Im not completely where I want to be but im o close.. I have decided to do it again only mix up my own work schedule. Im also going to add Brazilian Butt Lift into the equation.. But DEFINately P90X is awesome. (As long as you stay committed and do it everyday... and push yourself too! You will be amazed!

I try to walk for an hour or I sit and stand 100 times from my couch or chair. The simple basic stuff we all learned in P.E. will get your heart rate up (really helpful in starting the fat burning) and as along as you can talk comfortably. A simple workout like that 3 - 4 times a week will get you into a good groove that won't be so hard to maintain if you're stuck at home! PILATES CHANGED MY LIFE!

I did it before I had my second daughter and getting ready to start it again. It is intense but I loved it. I lost 5 pounds in 10 days the first time out. I loved the plyo workout but I love the high energy workouts. I found that the bands didn't work as well for me as the weights, you will need a portable pull up bar though. Turbo jam is also a great workout and I loved that one too, but P90X was definitely worth it and really helped with my endurance, strength, and it toned my body.

P90x is a good program. All our Beach Body products are fabulous. There's a program from diabetics to seniors. There is even ones by Shuan T to work out with your kids. :)

I really like Chalene Johnson's Turbo Jam. I used it before I had kids and I was in the best shape of my life. Although I keep telling myself I'm going to start doing it again I have yet to begin it. I was also interested in the P90X series. It does look intense, but it looks like it most definitely works. Good luck to you:0)

Yes as of now im on week 3 of the P90X, its a pretty good workout. And it doesn't matter if your overweight it targets men and women, and there is always a female on each dvd. Its pretty fun just get ready for a hard workout and dont give up. I do it by myself, b/c i look stupid when i workout. lol

I havent tried it, but I heard it is awesome and the results are amazing. Its worth a try, but its hard. So if you are ready for a serious challenge, I would suggest you to do it!

I have not used it but thought I might share what I did use and my results. I used a health program from Isagenix. My main struggle after my baby was toning up and losing some unwanted inches. My weight was pretty on target, but let me tell you I was not real thrilled with the outside package! I ran, I did two or three spin classes, I am a yoga teacher...What more can a girl do!

My mother in-law suggested this program to help with energy, but it also helps tone up and lose inches naturally. I witnessed her results of losing 20lbs and 16 inches! I was like what! Needless to say, I decided to try it out and finally I have been losing those inches in my midsection that remained week after week, so frustrating!

I am working towards getting my products for free and keeping the weight off and my energy level up so I can handle my two kids (5 & 18mnths). Take a look at the video’s on the left side at http://isamovie.com/ . I can coach you thru it if it sounds like something that you would be interested in. There are several programs that might fit your need so don't hesitate to contact me.

It is a great workout but you really need to do the "diet" or as I like to say it "lifestyle changed eating" with the workout. I agree you will need the bands to start but the best is if you can get into the weight lifting portion. I really enjoyed the leg workout, I have never experienced all my muscles the day after as I did with this program. I did it with my husband and he loved it too. This may sound funny but I could not stand to listen to "Tony" so I wore my ipod to tune him out. And I stuck my tongue out at him a lot when he did the P90X sign "X". Oh and yes the women on the video are ripped and totally intimidating to look at to begin with, but all they do is workout and eat zero fat. That is just not fun or possible with being a mom. Balance is the key to everything you do in your life.

With all that said I won't ever do P90X again but I have taken bits and pieces of the knowledge and now applied it to an awesome fat burning workout at the gym. The whole key, eat right, keep moving and think positively about yourself even if you are eating a piece of cake because it is okay to have "fun" foods in moderation. And to top it off being a new mom and finding energy to workout will be the first challenge, but you can do it, it will benefit everyone in the home if you make "you" time and do it.

It's a blast!!! I'm 45 yo, and my sons, ages 17 and 16 respectively, use the video altogether, although on different variations! Lol I can't keep up with the two lean mean working machines! It's intense, but it's worth it and you'll definitely see the results in 90 days all over, as long as you're consistent with your workout. Have fun and enjoy!

This is a great workout series and it can be used by both men and women. Just make sure that you buy some resistance bands (instead of weights), a manual pullup bar, and a yoga mat, to start your routine workout. There is also many variations of these videos, so I suggest you start on lean!!! I have done many of the videos with my husband, and I enjoyed KENPO X, the most. It's fun, intense, and gives you a full body workout.
